It was my first pattern to go semi-viral. It was free for a couple weeks. The cross stitch community embraced the message. Over 560 people across the world have downloaded this pattern. I have seen some stitched pieces shared over this past year, and it feels surreal.

Got inspired earlier and started designing a cross stitch pattern for the cruise. It’s really promising so far. If it works, I’ll make printed copies of that one to give out for free with a link to my shop to drum up business. I think that would be cool.

Hahahahaha! Fair enough. In my defence, I’d list it as an interest, not a hobby. My hobbies are knitting, sudoku, cross stitch, audiobooks. These are things I do when I have free time. And sometimes even while watching F1 😉

My piece for this year, about 1/8 done! Eventually it will say HOW DO YOU ORGANISE FOR EMERGENCE (and have a lot more flowers, obviously). I used a free online tool to design it, 80% of it is single stitches, I knew it would do my head in and it is. But it’s pretty!

Ooh, I found it on Kindle Unlimited. My library doesn't have it, nor my Libby libraries. 😞 I might request it for my library, though. Especially since I realized that the author/designer is the same person who designed the free No Kings cross stitch pattern I stitched a few months ago. 😁

i'm leaning toward the cross stitching even though that's not technically screen-free because i need to look at the pattern & don't have a printer. just because i literally haven't cross stitched since may when i got hurt & also what did i do all that organizing for if not to actually cross stitch.

i'm on-call the week of the 19th so i have to decide if i want my screen-free lunches this week to be spent reading my 1992 books or picking back up with the cross stitch monthly magnuses. i can't do either at night after work because i lack the impulse control to stop myself & go to bed.
