Was at the Detroit Institute of Art on Wednesday, saw this painting and my jaw dropped open. The detail of the stitching is incredible! I'm in awe of the woman who embroidered the gown in the first place. The painter is amazing. #embroidery #embroideryofbluesky #iloveembroidery #Renaissanceart

I took a silk marbling class tonight through Indy Art Center. We practiced with using paper, so my project partner had a lot of fun. Half is hers and I will mail her half to her after they are dried and ironed. #benitamakes #silkmarbling #papermarbling #indyartcenter

Wood turning class progress: Purpleheart pig and two bees, Canary Wood pig, bee and mushroom. Granadillo baby pigs, and a mushroom. Spalted Maple male doll body. These were done today. I'm going to miss this class. One more to go

I have been learning wood turning at the Indy Art Center. I am making bodies for penny wooden dolls. I have all shapes, sizes, and wood types. Today, I made a man and woman from cherry and 2 women from oak (I think). The man has a flat head as he is getting a tophat. #woodturning #pennywooden #WIP

Another Lego build. This is the Tudor Corner house. I tried to make the build last as long as possible. I did do one modification to it. The top floor apartment looked incomplete with just a couch, coffee table and bookcase, so I rearranged it and added a bed. #benitamakes #lego #legoicons #legos
