today’s animal crossing update: I have successfully moved all of my villagers into an evenly-spaced out neighborhood with ample yard space and sidewalks and lots of flowerbeds

We used to see the same for many of our flowers in our flowerbeds. I read online, that if you pot up PEPPERMINT and put the pots, where needed, among your flowers, that the grazing varmints, ie: rabbits and groundhogs, will not visit that part of the garden. Peppermint screws up the sense of smell.

maybe the furniture we see in the back in some images that represent their sekai or 3dmvs turn from cold reminders of her family’s house to floating frames and paintings, scattered ribbons and mannequins, and sprawling flowerbeds and sheet music to remind her of her new home with niigo.

Moved to N.AZ 6+ yrs ago and fell in love w high desert gardening, shaping our wild bit of land, even battling with the native plants and pigs (Javalinas) that try to take over

Most recently I've been building up rocky flowerbeds to sew wildflower seeds for the 1st time. Then, iris bulb dividing!🌷

Today I scattered heirloom pepperbox poppy seeds in my flowerbeds. They were harvested from plants I can trace back at least 75 years to my Grandmother Will’s house in Leavenworth, Kan. Tradition says to plant the seed on Christmas Day. If they make it, I’ll have crimson and pink flowers in June.

Last book for the year I think. A lovely set of shorts in the GO world with welcome context about the world and characters.

My original assumption was that this really didn't provide necessary context for GO and that you could probably have skipped it, if you didn't want to read it.

That assumption was thoroughly shattered with stories like, "A Weed in the Flowerbeds"; a tale completely sharing the life of Adrastus. In Hades Calculus, he comes off as a cold, slightly unpleasant character, but this short story provides him with a great deal more development, making him come off as, far less malicious and more... socially underdeveloped, if that makes any sense. He's not evil, and if anything, feels very deeply. It was almost shocking to read, for a character that I had pretty much hated, to me sympathizing with him deeply.

Other stories also provide a lot of past details; the relationship between Hades and Hephaestus, Zeus's feelings for Hades, and of course, Khrysothemis' cannibalistic escapades prior to Persephone's entrance. As much as I loved Adrastus' story, as a lover of the cannibalistic trope, Khrysothemis' whole thing with eating her sisters was... terrifying and wonderful in equal measures. Something to draw in the future perhaps? I wonder, I wonder...

There's also the character of Madalithea, whom I do know was created by Cirice Grey (shout out to her). I haven't yet read her story, "Flower of the Underworld", but I do intend to eventually. Perhaps soon honestly, as more prep before Persephone effect drops. At the very least, Madalithea is very, very sweet and her relationship with Cedalion is adorable. Here's hoping they stay safe in future stories... or at the very least, stay together and only slightly traumatized and hurt XD

My hub works 4 shotcrete Co, & you wouldn't BELIEVE some of the "rocks" hes brought home over the yrs. We have one heavy petrified log in my flowerbeds. Once a geode at least 3' in width. Talk abt HEAVY! WE enjoy his findings once a pool is dug out!! 🤜🏻🤛🏿💯🎯💥

"Fuck!" Zippy cussed, ripping flowers off
bushes as she stomped through Aerith's gratuitously pompous garden. She put her foot through a gaudy flowerpot, the frilly little flower collapsing as dirt poured out of the hole. She ignored the twisting stone path, trampling through flowerbeds as violently as she could manage.
"Idiot! Fucking idiot!" she screamed as she finally escaped the floral nightmare labyrinth.
She panted as the brisk night air hit her sweat-slick skin. The disgusting, needy bite between her legs faded in and out as the memories of the night flickered through her mind, arousal changing places with rage, hatred, and self-pity with every step. Why did she have to be so fucking stupid? She could hear his horrifically dainty giggles ringing in her head as she seethed all the way back to the hotel.
