Think I saw my first flying squirrel gliding in front of my vehicle as I was driving.
Even if it were on camera I think it would still have been a grey blur.
But it was after the sun went down, it wasn't all flappy like a bat, and the angle of travel suggested gliding rather than flight.

They do look a bit massive in real life (especially the green ones), but they’re free from work and the black ones look a bit less flappy so they’ll do. Plus as you say the wicking is very handy!
