I had totally forgotten about this, and now I want to write it all over again. Marvel, call me!

Today I learned the 2026 World Cup has a new knockout system featuring 495 (!!!) different combinations for possible third-place team advancements and brackets, and I think it's beautiful America is sharing its greatest export (convoluted sports tiebreakers) with the rest of the world.

I don't understand how these companies expect an export market. Other countries still have regulations, yet they're just chomping at the bit to deregulate everything.

Earlier this year the South African Government ran a consultation on its draft regulations for live exports by sea.

We submitted a response, alongside 16,697 other respondents, and 95% called for a complete ban on live exports. 👏

All eyes are now on the South African Government to #BanLiveExports.

Lutnik is back bullying the EU on behalf of the Technocrats.

He said “The EU must loosen tech regulations if it wants the US to lower tariffs on its steel and aluminum”

He also said Brussels should “solve” outstanding cases against Google, Microsoft and Amazon.

One of the things that's slipped under the radar of Trump's various tariff agreements is the requirement/demand that countries not impose regulations or digital services taxes on U.S. tech firms, which is effectively using access to the U.S. economy as leverage to export U.S. digital governance

A pure cotton, brushed fleece is more flammable, which limits which counties you can export to. When you run a massive operation such as Gildan, you may want to add polyester to meet flammability regulations, allowing you entry into more markets.

The car had significant Australian content, including changes to meet local safety regulations, such as adapting the windscreen wipers for right-hand-drive (something Renault never managed for French-made export cars). The 12 Virage came in sedan and wagon versions, both with 1397cc engines.

This would be our milk too, if the regulations allowed. NZ quality is for export. We get whatever cheap
Nz grows really fantastic wheat. Canterbury is great climate for wheat.

Then we export most of it as animal feed and import different wheat for our bread.

If you want to have a smaller impact, and eat more local, here's one of a handful of sources of local wheat..

I'm sorry, but this is not it. We can disagree about the role of regulations, but "Ubirajara" was rightly returned to Brazil. The documentation and export of the fossil wasn't clear, nor was this a matter of scientists in Brazil retroactively making something illegal.

When China uses regulations or subsidies to artificially lower the price of its exports, that amounts to a transfer from companies or workers in China to consumers of that Chinese export. To retaliate w tariffs is redistributing that subsidy to other stakeholders in the buying country
January 13, 2025 at 6:20 PM
Other tensions involve the massive export of low-cost, made-in-China products, the heavy use of state subsidies to the detriment of foreign competitors, protectionist regulations that prevent European access to the Chinese market, surveillance of private citizens and companies,
As Trump brings the EU and China closer, reality pulls them apart
The chaos unleashed by Donald Trump's tariffs has fuelled speculation of an imminent rapprochement between the European Union and China. But the cold hard facts might stand in the way. #EuropeNews

So you're putting hard limits on unnecessary exports and reorganizing production to meet needs domestically? Oh, no, you're stripping regulations and Indigenous rights to export more LNG to increase the number on some asshole's leger. And providing money for war.
