i tried to explain to her that tiny creatures with uncertain existences don’t immediately flock to new food sources but as an apex predator descendent of forest gods she doesn’t understand this.

Maybe i'm being too much of a cynical doomsayer, we're inching closer and closer where we as species will need to change our relation to work and how much we define our existences by having it (and our reliance on it to basic survival). There won't be enough jobs to sustain 8+ billion people.

Anyway, I feel some sort of way about still writing trans contemporary YA when the idea of trans teens being respected and allowed to live peaceful existences feels like a fantasy in and of itself, but that's what I'll be working on tomorrow because I have a deadline.
