Between the economy and the events in Minnesota, the White House would be wise to keep Donald Trump at home and not out on the road. He's brought chaos to our country and is sinking downballot Republicans in the midterms. I see it every day in our Florida Governor's race.

I mean, no, I don’t expect this to actually happen, it’s just roughly what a uniform 25 point downballot swing would look like

ACTUALLY KAMALA COULD NEVER HAVE BEEN PRESIDENT BECAUSE SHE WAS BLACK, WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS AN INSURMOUNTABLE OBSTACLE JUST DON'T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO 2008 OR ANY OF THE DOWNBALLOT RESULTS IN 2024 WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE TO NOT ALLOW BLACK PEOPLE ANYWHERE NEAR A CHANCE AT POWER

He just flushed his base down the toilet.

It's still a Cult, but just a small number breaking ranks/not voting is enough to flip the House, Senate, and downballot races.

didn't have him on my radar, but... I think he's a good recruit? granted, I'm almost certainly still going to vote for Nixon in the primary, and I'm still skeptical of any Dem winning statewide here, but going with a well-known resist lib figure is something I think could boost downballot Dems here

I see. Holding rallies to stop Indiana redistricting and campaigning for Democrats in special elections is not enough for someone who is out of office and dedicating his time to vital downballot contests, eh? You are well named.

Rob Hutton-R won't seek reelection to WI Sen, boosting Dem hopes of taking control of chamber—potentially all state gov't

R's currently hold an 18-15 edge in Sen, Dems need 2 seats this fall to secure 1st majority >a decade

Kentucky wants to try to unseat Beshear. They're not going to not have elections. Every state they think they can cancel them *needs* downballot races for local stuff, too.

And all those downballot elected officials depend on the elections being legitimate to keep their jobs. If you’re a Dem state senator in Georgia, you’re sure as hell not going to accept unemployment so that Trump can fake control over Congress
January 25, 2026 at 4:06 PM
That’s way harder. They’d have to force dozens of Democratic secretaries of state, hundreds of representatives, thousands of downballot electeds, and tens or hundreds of thousands of volunteers to falsify the results.

People did have valid reasons for not voting the top of the ticket; i met them during my phone bank. They lost family to the genocide. I wasn't gonna be a dick and pester them to do so. I did encourage them to vote downballot and most of them did concede and pledged to do that.

Every Step Matters

like i'm sorry but as one who has and will still push for a free palestine since 2021 I will especially give deep glares to anyone essentially going "PEE PEE POOP POOP GAZA" as their reason for not voting downballot in 2024. End of Story. Esp when it's clear a lot who did were just lazy AF

White people, you are in real danger. Your skin color is no longer a shield.

Get your demographic to stop wasting their votes and to downballot Dems from now on.

Local to federal.

Ever time.
Alex Pretti, the man killed by federal agents today in Minneapolis, appears to have been a registered nurse, an athlete, a son and a brother, with ties to Colorado and Wisconsin.

Here is a photo he used for several accounts.

An interesting chart about how Members of the House of Representatives voted on funding the Department of Homeland Security by @pbump.com that shows, instead of tells.

Great column on AI featuring @mims.bsky.social + more data visualizations this week:

I don't read *everything* but I haven't see a serious "Crockett is more electable" or "Crockett would help more downballot" take. The impulse is for this "oh, I see, Dems want the WHITE MAN" stuff that was already moldy in 2020.

I absolutely love how James Talarico is using his social media following to let Texans know about important downballot special elections like the one in TX State Senate District 9 on January 31st.
This is the most important election you might not know about.

Taylor Rehmet is running for the State Senate — and Big Money is spending millions to defeat him because he’s a fighter for public schools and working families.
