Digital Eclipse is back, this time with Namco games?!? not the one you expected, though...
Atari 50: The Namco Legendary Pack (Steam)- DLC Review
Is this Atari 50 DLC worth your time for nostalgia, or is this just like an Andor Genesis crashing the party?

bar none, of any content creator/anyone on the entire internet i can credit with "stopping connor from jumping out a window on purpose like he really really wanted to this year too many times", it would be amanda. Go follow her on youtube. Seriously inspiring.
This is Amanda, (amandasmildtakes
on Instagram) - and I have decided that I’m going to watch her news updates every single time she posts.

This is the best I’ve felt and the most optimistic in a long time she summarizes stories others won’t report on. 💕💕 #goodnews #nokings

So uh, change of plans, a big article i had drafted and nearly done until i had to get it looked over is going into cryostasis until TBD. Maybe the spring, unfortunately.

Status update post incoming, but there's still other big opinion pieces on the way. Like my gigaton Switch 2 BC article!

update: all of the Moms for Liberty dorks got exodia'd

big flip for that district. I made a difference! You can too. Good day yesterday all around.
i did some door to door this weekend for a small schoolboard election for a district far from me because they had moms for liberty dorks running and me and a relative wanted to help the community spread the word about the candidates who aren't literally insane, there's something everywhere, go vote
November 6, 2025 at 12:43 AM
Also VOTE TOMORROW IF YOU'RE IN THE US

LITERALLY ANYWHERE IN THE US, YOU CAN VOTE

you have local elections those matter a ton especially in red states where that's how you change the tide of your community, go do research and vote

This month is looking to be pretty exciting for SFG. Hardware reviews, some overdue queue games, a huge article, a big status update, and maybe something else...

I could bet money for the next few years I'm gonna be the only one who will review Cho Aniki: Bakuretsu Ranto Hen on Switch. I hope so. This is a very bad game with a weirdly detailed emulation effort.

Mamorukun ReCurse! (Switch eShop)- Review
Is this G.Rev shooter worth your time, or is it not even worth haunting the netherworld with?

Sorry for the big delay this week; hectic IRL stuff and some stressors. But I got a decently big one today with Yooka-Replaylee, on Steam Deck!
Yooka-Replaylee (Steam)- Review
How does a crowdfunded game get remade to be better this time around? Is such a thing even a good idea? Well, Yooka-Replaylee is rolling in to do whatever it wants!

I think the Platner stuff is too consequential to ignore, but at the same time, Ariela has a point here: eyes on the prize. One consequential election is two weeks away, the other isn't for 8 months. We can be adults (or at least should be) and walk & chew gum simultaneously. Lets get some results.

this should be the maine topic from here on out. Maine has an election in 2 weeks that could hurt block disabled people from voting. Spread the word, tell Maine residents to vote NO on question 1.
Election Day is right around the corner, and Question 1 is on every Maine ballot. It would upend safe and secure absentee voting like this.

Vote NO on Question 1 to save absentee voting. Make a plan to vote, track your ballot, and more by visiting ACLUMaine.org/Vote.

i feel duped. I seriously fell for this guy and hoped people like him would be the way forward for progressive working class action. But nope, that tattoo is impossible to defend, nuh-uh
"how do you expect to win back men when all men are assholes?"
Graham Platner to @daveweigel.bsky.social:
"How do you expect to win back men when you go back through somebody’s Reddit history and just pull it all out and say: ‘Oh, my God, this person has no right to ever be in politics?’"

DSCC Chair Gillibrand: “It’s up to the voters of Maine to decide.”

in semi related news before i go this was the fastest unsub i ever did and was very upset to see a retro content creator i liked just slobber over this guy because they wanted to be "Fair to him"

no he's a dork you don't have to get him any attention ever even if he gives your channel free shit
October 18, 2025 at 1:17 AM

just do it

it's everywhere

I can only speak from my own experience here, but the best way to work on your writing is to write. A lot. You need a routine, you need a rhythm, it's how you develop your voice. You should also read, too, and I don't just mean books. Just keep all of that part of your brain active and well-fed.
They guy writing horseshit about how you're not really writing unless you're doing it "with the urgency of someone holding a gun in your mouth" is a marketing guy and his ridiculous thread is an act of personal marketing. If you're an aspiring writer do not listen to that sort of nonsense.

Yo standup, this ain't good. My pal @ariellaelm.bsky.social who's done good work focusing on local races and hammering those even in the face of people dooming about SCOTUS or whatever had a threads thread about what makes them safe at these events, and this is just taken from it without attribution
Don’t just take it from us–take it from countless Americans who have gone to peaceful protests this year: we are always stronger together.

First review of October with the pretty fun, if a little flawed Project X: Light Years, a followup to the Amiga shooter. Yes, this got a sequel in 2025. Yes, it still is pretty solid fun.

One of it is an exciting little lead into the future Site logo I've been trying to get done for a year + now. Next review will be Project X: Light Years, and I wanna get it done on 10/10 or 10/11. But it all depends on a very busy weekend. Apologies for the no-show this week, i'm doin my best! Thanks -Connor
