#communication—especially
Backup your important things. Make sure you have alternate contacts for your friends. Have multiple methods of communication - especially in these days where it feels like the world is about to break apart. And most importantly, don't trust companies. Just don't. Especially big ones.

Clear communication around the limitations of the grid is good especially since we’re apparently sending power to Newfoundland to support them through some ice clean-up at their largest hydro plant? www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The cats, OJ especially, noticed Sonya's absence. Sonya is being charged with "solicitation." TDCJ claims that Sonya, a prison volunteer, and Sonya's friend, all broke prison rules by giving a volunteer a phone number to give to the vet.

Played Gibberers last night and it has easily taken the mantle of my favorite word game. Getting an English translation into the US was a bigger barrier than I expected, especially with tariffs, but it was certainly worth it. What a uniquely engaging communication experience!

This video by Steve Mould on collapsing cavitation bubbles is a really neat piece of science communication.

Especially because apparently, the mechanism behind how you can make light by quickly compressing water is called Bremsstrahlung and I live right next to* the @DESY research centre (and […]

Codex CLI's open-source nature is a major draw. Users value inspecting its internals and contributing to development. The active communication and responsiveness of the dev team, especially Eric Traut, are highly praised. Community involvement fuels progress. #OpenSource 2/5

would be vs. how likely the other party is to take what i'm saying poorly. especially when so much communication happens in a way that can be screen captured and used against you out of context, it's honestly really shifted the balance of when it's worth it to speak up, anymore.

that being said, +

Outsourcing our critical thoughts and our communication skills to these bots for the sake of “efficiency” or “output” will only make our skills atrophy. No one, especially people able to nab prestigious PI positions, should let that happen.

"manual art" is obsolete , many people especially young teens sees "local direct communication by or with or through artist and community" as unnecessary risk for their mental health , even if its actually the opposite ! they want "mass production" to avoid tedious self discovery

It would’ve ruined my whole day too, especially coming from someone I trust. Communication is such a HUGE #1 thing for me. I don’t care how small and silly it is, it’s a very set rule for my mental health.

I’m so sorry you dealt with that. You have every right to be upset about it.
January 24, 2026 at 5:00 AM
Nah that shit would’ve pissed me off.

If something happens, I gotta have some form of communication ahead of time or else I go into panic mode. Especially in-person. If someone left me by myself without saying something, even if it was something obvious like to the car, my anxiety will flare up.

The purpose of langauge is communication and connection. If you had a friend who kept making the same grammar mistake and you thought they would take it well, you might be able to pull them aside and talk to them in private.

But publicly correcting someone's grammar, especially when you don't...

Everything is a practice

budget
diet
religion
orientation
paying taxes...

Don't do anything you cannot
afford
or
leave alone
especially if it is illegal.

Manage your time to pay your bills

Communication with creditors is vital

Try not to go in the "tank"
where your thoughts spiral downward

This is an important and poorly understood area. It's especially hard to conceive of realistic threat models in this context. My anecdotal experience is that alarmists, extremists, opsec hawks can be the loudest voices to the detriment of other equities like communication and visibility
Opsec culture in activism legitimately needs to die

It's vital to understand the importance of the prime areas, especially in early child development. Children need lots of opportunities for play, physical development, communication and language and plenty of loving care. Multi sensory experiences are so vital. Being outdoors in nature. ☺️

Strong communication matters.

Real progress depends on listening to those with solutions — especially frontline healthcare workers.

To move public healthcare forward, we must learn from past failures and ensure NLHS has the leadership and conditions it needs to succeed.

Lol oh no Bjarne! I get what you meant though.

100% though. ESPECIALLY with something like programming.

I don't do the whole thing where it's a one way feedback street in communication. Been there, and it doesn't work, not long term at least.
January 23, 2026 at 6:57 PM
Yeah, that’s been the official communication thus far. It is a huge bummer, especially because people have had to make the call not to travel even without knowing for sure if the show is happening or not.

📊 🎯 Yen stress is increasingly a cross story: EURJPY at 186.5 (weakest vs EUR since Jan 2000) while USDJPY is grinding near 158.5–159, pressing the “160s” intervention zone.

BOJ held policy at 0.75%; spot weakened post-decision with USDJPY down to 158.74, then 158.66 (+0.16%)—policy

It does speak well to him that he is, in fact, capable and willing to change. It shows a good amount of respect. But also STOP SINGING MATE

the hateship will continue until communication improves (part 2)

Maybe it extends a little further?
Angry white men have a nazi problem.
All over the world. UK. Spain. Australia. Italy. You name it.
Humans, especially men, are so good at avoiding the obvious so that we can shift blame to someone else. 🙄🙄🙄
It's about hate and control. Communication. Education.

The Trump regime and Israel have a lot in common.
Sadism, obviously, but also the complete immunity to legalities and human norms
Compulsive lying, constant killing, especially kids, journalists, medics and academics
They are killing civilisation itself, literally starting with honest communication.
#Gaza: 3 journalists have been killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted their vehicle. According to CPJ, over 200 journalists have been killed in Gaza. #Israel has a duty under international law to protect journalists. They must also allow foreign media in.
