At the risk of sounding really ignorant...I thought the only model family that's been developed by NCAR alone is CESM? Even in the US, I recall GFDL was NOAA's, and GISS was NASA's.
Then, there are all the foreign models that ought to be insulated from the chaos - this list isn't even complete!

i love this town. it’s great in a lot of ways. it’s not a place to drop $7M on a downtown condo like you’re gonna be surrounded by top-tier museums, restaurants, and so on, especially when i’d bet money anyone who buys it has a winter house elsewhere. bsky.app/profile/cesm...
