It's finally here, Canticle Comrades! Volume 2! Come read about Mirk's familial woes as he pines about the bony weirdo he is (still) in love with.

I feel like that is something that could be done in a non-theft way: there exists an audiobook of Canticle for Liebowitz that presumably the Miller estate, et al. get royalties from. The DE voice actor could create a voice library/auditory skin that they get royalties from? Cadence might be off.

my attention span is shite and this THC is a new strain so the brain candy has made the brain run in circles a bit but I will go look at or bookmark it for later tonight.I think this is the second time I have seen this mentioned recently. First Canticle for Leibowitz keeps showing up and now this

Gang, if you ever have the time?

I implore you to seek out and see Bird Boy: The Forgotten Children.

Imagine a Franco Spain parable with the aesthetic of a warped, post-apocalyptic children's storybook; like Animal Crossing by way of Canticle for Leibowitz.

I think using AI for art is unethical because it was trained by stealing art but if I could get AI to read me A Canticle for Liebowitz in the voice of the guy that narrates Disco Elysium I WOULD USE IT.

The season of Advent does not start for 14 more days. I will just share one line from Canticle of the Turning, which is based on Mary's Magnificat.

*17 catechumens + 33 candidates

Opened Mass with the Rite… & closed Mass with Canticle of the Turning, which began at 6:07 (67 min after the start of Mass); that’s good liturgy.

I’ve yet to read A Canticle for Leibowitz. I got a copy a few weeks ago.

I’ve been binging the works of Greg Bear (I miss him terribly). At least his original stuff.

I got into his work from his Halo novels and that one Star Wars book he wrote (Rogue Planet).

Blood Music was incredible!

A Canticle for Leibowitz is going to be a little different. The Brothers aren't saving science, they're savings jerseys until humanity is ready for the NBA again.
