My darning loom arrived yesterday, only heard of them last month. Kid is pretty rough on his soft trousers and I can't keep up with pre-made patches. He has told me he doesn't care what colour I use, so I figure I'll experiment on this pair. I mean these aren't all the holes, so it can only improve.
A darning loom, which is a metal framework with a row of hooks, attached by elastic band to a smooth wooden circle. It's inside a clear plastic bag which contains several green elastic bands. Blue, soft fabric which has gone thin, and has a couple of holes, one of which has a long ladder.

Certainly is! I have so many silly patches to go on (including a large-wanged Big Sexy Satan patch from the original Arcane Bullshit oracle kickstarter) that I will be the belle of any pit, despite VERY FEW actual band patches appearing.

An illustration based on the game Cyberpunk 2077. It features Johnny Silverhand pointing a gun at the viewer while holding an unconscious blonde woman with his silver arm (based on my V in game). On the background, there is a faded out Samurai logo and parts of lyrics from Samurai's songs. On the bottom, mimicking the game's dialogue, there's one of Silverhand's lines: "tell him it was your guardian angel". (I actually worked on this because accidentally my V ended up looking a lot like Alt and is a netrunner - probably Johnny's worst nightmare) A half body illustration of the character Loki from the Marvel universe, but in his frost giant (Jotun) form. He has a few braids on a shoulder length hair, with his classic horned helmet being more of a headband. He wears a large fur cape around his shoulders, as well as a large neck/chest piece with a knotwork pattern - the same pattern is repeated on his staff. He has a few marks on his face and chest, the ones he would have as a frost giant. He is also wearing gold and black pants, as well as golden bracers with fur. The background is dark blue on top and light blue below, as if it's snowing. His looks is very much inspired by his Marvel Rivals design, but I wanted to work on a more Norse God looking version of it - still as if it was one of his skins in game. That's why I chose the braided hair, lots of fur and detailed knotwork on the golden patches. The fur is also more on the gray side, as a little nod to Fenrir and a sort of "wolf in sheep's clothing" kind of thing. An illustration based on the song Mummy Dust by the band Ghost. It's heavily inspired by Art Deco motifs, like the album arts at the time. It features the band's frontman back then, Papa Terzo, standing in with his hands crossed over his chest - like mummies - and wearing black, gold and yellowish green attire. There are two wolves, one on each side, light gray on top of their heads becoming darker and darker until totally black on their paws - their eyes, bright yellow. The background consists of a big, bright city in shades of green - lighter on top and the lower you go, it becomes darker until almost black. The sky is golden yellow with sparkling stars and searchlights, with two bright golden pillars on each side: one with the alfa symbol and the other with the omega symbol. Behind Terzo's head, there's an inverted triangle, almost like a halo, similar to the one you can find in the dollar bill pyramid. Under his feet and under the pillars, the drawing becomes more organic, inspired by Giger's art - all in shades of black/gray and dark gold. On the sides, shapes that resemble hands and machines intertwine around round golden shapes, almost like Chinese coins. Under his feet, there are two shapes like machines resembling people kneeling on the floor with their heads down, carrying the whole city on their backs, almost as if carrying a God, with a machine in the middle with a mouth filled with broken teeth and golden coins, linked to the human figures with a machine umbilical cord. The whole drawing features bright, golden, sparkly yellow on top, getting darker and darker until almost black on the very bottom. The lower it goes, one can see cracks, faint rot and small flies scattered around - the upper you go, one can see more gold, sparkles and lighter, brilliant motifs. On the very top, above Terzo's head, there's a quote of the song "In God you trust". A screenshot of my workplace in the drawing software Krita. On the right, you can see the color wheel, the brushes and the layers. On the left, you can see the canvas/sketch. The illustration is completed - with full lineart and local colors - and now I'm working on additional light/ambient light/shadows. The screenshot is a close-up on their faces, seen from shoulder up. It's an illustration of the characters Dante and Vergil from the game series Devil May Cry. Vergil is on the left, with his back to his brother and seen from the side, holding a sword that is resting on his shoulder. Dante is on the right, seen from the front and with his back to his brother, having his arms crossed while holding a katana on one of his hands. The great sword on Vergil's shoulder is Dante's sword Rebellion, while the katana on Dante's hand is Vergil's sword Yamato. Skin color wise, Vergil is very pale while Dante is a little more sun-kissed, both with very light blue eyes, and wearing dark clothes. The ambient light is an almost dark magenta/purple, while the shadow is a deep blue and there are two main sources of light: one very saturated red light coming from the right, where Dante is standing, and one very icy cool blue light coming from the left, where Vergil is standing. Vergil is also a little deeper in the shadows than Dante. It looks like they're in a rave/party under neon lights, honestly.

You know the day destroys the night.
Thick clouds stretch across the sunrise sky, glowing in layered shades of orange and gold as the early morning light filters through them. The brightest area radiates near the horizon, where the sun sits just out of view, illuminating the undersides of the clouds with warm, fiery tones. Higher up, the clouds soften into pale gray and muted blue, creating a gentle gradient as the sky transitions from warm to cool. Dark, leafless tree branches cut across the glowing clouds in sharp silhouette, emphasizing the contrast between the delicate cloud textures and the crisp lines of the foreground. A pale blue mornign sky with a thin crescent moon faintly visible near the center. Soft white clouds drift across the frame, with a few wispy patches near the top and a thicker band of clouds along the bottom edge. The moon appears small and delicate against the bright sky, partially illuminated and subtly blending into the blue background.

NGC2403 is a spiral galaxy in Camelopardalis and a harbinger of the galaxies we will be seeing in Spring. If you look closely, you can see numerous small pink patches of emission nebulae in star-forming areas.
