#WordCraft
To be unfair, a lot of readers think pretty much the same way. They're engaging with prose as a carrier wave for stories and ideas, but actually don't care about wordcraft.

It's why people spread those Tumblr story concepts but won't actually buy the book.

I had to pause after every sentence to re-read and savor every individual word in a way I haven't in a very long time. I laughed, I cried, it moved me. This is the most inept wordcraft I've ever had the displeasure to experience. This is what having a nervous breakdown must feel like.
when the full Olivia Nuzzi book streets Bluesky is going to collectively experience something akin to the ecstasies of the Bacchae

They really are. Especially for century-old pulp adventure, Howard's tales retain their magic. His best work was so far beyond his contemporaries he might as well have been writing in a different language. Even now, his wordcraft and atmosphere rumble bleak poetry.

Swamplandia! by Karen Russell. She's an absolute wizard when it comes to wordcraft.

Many thanks! *Bows graciously*
I find that stringing together poems out of haiku does contribute to the honing of such wordcraft.

Delightfully decadent imagery - kudos on the mouthwatering wordcraft

The Kusoge Advent Calender is one of the best things the FGC has produced, but I don't think AJ gets nearly enough credit for being one of the best writers in the scene. The write ups are even better than the streams imo, he has a fantastic way of making fucking BULLSHIT into wordcraft
this paragraph about Berserker from the writeup will always, always stick with me, especially the "Yipes commentating entirely through a Speak & Spell" line

Always ply your wordcraft! May this year bring you words and poetry!

I felt the actual wordcraft in Fahrenheit 451 in particular -- word choice, sentence structure, etc -- was very clunky.

Absolutely gorgeous, Steff. The photos, the wordcraft, the heartfulness of it.

And now I know a bit more about where you get your "explainy" personality from. You're definitely your father's daughter. ❤️

"billionaire broverlords" - quality labelling wordcraft yet again, Supertanskiii.

I've read Cat Chaser and La Brava - both excellent. CC has some really great sex writing, the kind of delicate wordcraft that almost no other writers can manage.

As a self-introspective writer working on their wordcraft, I must say that if I have to tell myself, "Show, not tell," one more time, the main character is going to get it [where they squirm like an injured worm who knows they will never have the chance to tell Robin how much they truly loved them]!
