Joanne Rowling described that time as being “as poor as it is possible to be in modern Britain, without being homeless.”

2 types of reader.

The Spine-Cracker breaks it in so it lies flat. It isn't loved until it's comfortably worn.

The Spine-Preserver uses surgical-level care, never opening it past 90 degrees. It's a protected artifact.

We can't be friends if you crack spines of books.

When they say b consistent in your creation, it isn't always "show up everyday".
If u give a kid a magic talent then be consistent across the realm.
If you've watched Wick, he's not only one in bulletproof suit. Thez bullet proof coresets & sumo body guards Kimonos are bulletproof too.

You need to make yourself a ritual with a micro-quota. Even if creators want to paint a picture of all fun pink cotton candy days, you need to treat output as a job: set a tiny daily minimum, defend the time block, publish the draft then iterate.

Whether we want to hear it or not, one of the most common reasons for why we are not successful in our creative endeavors is inconsistent output (lack of discipline).

Stephen King famously writes daily (a set daily word-count & routine) even when inspiration is low.

Everyone remembers “Mirror, mirror on the wall…”

Snow White’s Queen actually says “Magic mirror on the wall.”

This tiny twist in memory has fueled endless Mandela Effect debates.

Eat Humble Pie
A pun on "umbles," the inferior offal (heart, liver, intestines) of a deer.
In medieval times, while the lord ate the choice venison, his huntsmen would bake the "umbles" into a pie.
To "eat umble pie" was both literal and symbolic of being in a lowly position.

Mandela Effect

A collective false memory shared by thousands.

You've probably quoted this iconic line for years:

“Luke, I am your father.”

Go watch the scene. The actual line is:

“No, I am your father.”

Give the Cold Shoulder

Be deliberately unwelcoming/snub someone.

After a medieval feast, guests of honor got hot, freshly cooked meat.

Once done & it was time for less welcome guests to leave, they'd be served cold shoulder of mutton/beef…a signal their presence was no longer desired.

Pleased as Punch
