I can declare with some authority that there simply isn't a snobbish bone in my entire body. If there was I would feel confident that the good egalitarian tissue encasing it would tense up, like the lining of a chomping mouth, and spit the slimy thing out without more ado. There you have it in a nutshell: I should sooner be filleted than have it thought by you that I wish to elevate myself in some spurious unmerited fashion. But all of this being noted, the fact does remain that there are only 8 people in London. The final paragraphs of Between the Conceits: I'm sorry? Yes, yes, that's right, that's what I was leading up to. When it gets too claustrophobic at home, when Mother's rasping snore gets to me, and the old-woman smell of flannel, medicaments and cabbage is making me retch, I come here and engage someone like yourself in conversation. Someone bright, enquiring and interested. And then I do tell them - tell them everything. What's that? Yes, of course, you are perceptive; naturally I can do this with impunity, because you'll never remember anything I've told you. It will depart from your tiny mind when we depart. For as I've told you from the outset, there really are only 8 people in London. And whereas I am fortunately one of them - you are emphatically not.

What's hilarious about this is the leading sentence makes you think he's going to follow it up with some example of some egregious unfair hiring practice or something, and then it's just him being mad about the skin color of an actress playing a fictional character in a movie.

This is awesome. Is there some way of adjusting the animation so that you don't get those sharp edges for when it transitions back to the left? Would be nice if it stayed curvey right up until the end, or is this already at the limits of what's possible?

Not sure you can nuance this, I'm afraid. This is a crime boss and a serial abuser. The fact that we've often compromised our values and our humanity is what's got us in this quagmire. Social media political interference, Starlink, Palantir...these represent grave national security threats...

What's maybe most frustrating about the scene is how obvious the better way to do it was. Yes, excise all of the Chris Elliott crap. But as the scene plays out, pull gradually towards Moira/Catherine as she slowly appreciates all of this to Noah's voice...

Israel done this to accuse aid organisations of helping Hamas, they'll use that as an excuse to ban all aid.
Israel don't want any witnesses to what's happening in Gaza, that's why they murder journalists, medics and aid organisations.

Less aid = more Palestinian deaths and that's the Israel goal.

I had a nightmare that I got kidnapped by ICE, deported, and my passport stolen. I'm a US born citizen. This is shit. What's worse is that I feel like, as a trans individual, I was treated a lot better in nightmare than irl if it was to actually happen.
