Just another silly Canadian.
Oh my... local TV station is now re-airing (of all things) the episode of THE A-TEAM guest starring L.Q. Jones and... wait for it... Boy George.

80s TV was a weird, wild f*cking thing. No wonder my generation turned out the way it did.

Nice move-- and puts a lot of pressure on others, especially Cena.
Pro-wrestling legend Mick Foley announced this morning that he's parting ways with WWE over the organization's "close relationship with Donald Trump," saying the president's "incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the final straw for me."

Of course they'll do it on the public dime. You wouldn't expect anything other, would you?
Sorry ladies he’s off the market

NOW YOU SEE ME 3 does pull off one feat I'd previously thought impossible: it shows that Rosamund Pike can give a bad performance. Her accent moves faster than any of the Horsemen do.

Well, Kimmel came out swinging, though maybe with a little less righteous fury than I was expecting.
I knew Trump's post about Rob Reiner would make at least one of the late-night guys snap. I hope all of them do, but since his got out there first, I can now confirm that at least Seth did, and he did so perfectly. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUW2...

Wait, what? President Shartsoul doubled-down on attacking a victim of violence? Who'd have imagined that?
December 15, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Wait, you mean President Douchebag said something ghastly, vile and utterly inexcusable in wake of a very real tragedy and desperately tried to make it all about himself?

One of the most bizarre little tidbits of cultural history is that Rob Reiner's part in ALL IN THE FAMILY (Michael "Meathead" Stivic) was reportedly declined by... Harrison Ford, supposedly because of Archie Bunker's bigotry.

Imagine how different the world would've been...

Rob Reiner's interview with Ted Danson really was quite good (Reiner says it's the best he's ever done), and there's so much resonates even more strongly now, including stuff about his dad, meeting his wife Michelle, and the world as it is now and going forward.

Only just reading the horrifying news about Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle. Reserving comment otherwise pending further information, but it's just dreadful and deeply sad.

Rob had only recently appeared on Ted Danson's podcast, and twice in the last year before that on Conan's. Worh watching.

The film CLUE is apparently 40 years old today. It is odd how it has been embraced since, because at the time most of us who saw it didn't love it -- and many felt ripped off by it. I remember seeing it, through heavy snow, and being thoroughly disappointed.

Funny how time changes everything...

Oh damn, that's sad news: Peter Greene was practically THE "that guy" of the 90s, almost invariably as a villain or sleazeball, but always memorable. *sigh* RIP.

Greene’s longtime manager, Gregg Edward, said the actor’s family had been notified of his death. There was no immediate indication as to the cause.

Can't explain why this makes me so happy, but it does. And it's even better that he seems to be in exceptionally great nick for a hundred.
Finally, it’s official: Happy 100th birthday, Dick Van Dyke!

Another note subsequent to this: Stellan's DUNE and ANDOR work is even more of an accomplishment when you hear what went into making his performances after his stroke.

So, the US wants not only data-mine its own people, but the people who dimwittedly decide to visit it. The words "fuck" and "that" come to mind.
This is the full list of info the US is proposing to require from applicants for an ESTA (electronic travel authorisation) to secure visa-free travel to America. This would apply to every UK holidaymaker, conference attendee or businessperson. public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2025-22461.pdf

Was inordinately happy with myself for getting this (i.e., figuring out the connection between the clues) on the second clue. Can't explain why without spoiling it, but I've capped the third clue as well so you can have a go.

Watching Colbert and learned that Sigourney Weaver got her first job in theatre from John Gielgud. Sir John gave many actors their first job, but famously including Alec Guinness about 40 years earlier.

To think, we owe Ellen Ripley and Obi-Wan Kenobi to Hobson from ARTHUR. Funny how it all goes.

Wow... wrote the below before hearing about Paramount's new move. Everything about this gets hinkier and hinkier. Now, the question is, does Netflix retaliate with its own hostile measure?
