Given Ammy's trauma with her abandonment anxiety and being a caring empath, after the events of DAI and Tresspasser, she'd be a constant source of support for my Lavellan. Even years down the line, when Lavellan has slowly given up on Solas, Ammy would be there to make sure she hasn't lost her hope.

Ves & Kalais are fairly similar here. Neither will forgive anyone who harms the people they care about. Ves is better & much quicker to forgive himself. Kalais is still trying not to blame himself for things he sees as his fault. Neither of them will forgive Solas. Ves still could have after Tresspasser, despite Solas being the catalyst for everything he suffered as Inquisitior, but not by the end of Veilguard. The truths & repeated betrayals that all started to become clear after the regret prison & how broken that place left him are too much for Kalais to be able to forgive Solas.

I found this at Hastings (RIP) a while ago and was excited to get it. It features cutified versions of Jaegers Horizon Brave and Rome Blue, and Kaiju Tresspasser, Hardship and Karloff. It’s pretty amazing we ended up getting actual figures of all these guys - well except poor little Karloff there.

Yeah, this hits way closer to home (literally) when your idiot brother almost shoots you because he thought you were a tresspasser that broke into the house. That was a FUN night/ early morning.

But my family just can't understand why I'm for stricter gun control laws. 🙄

Ves can sleep almost anywhere. He's a fairly light sleeper (gets enough rest but also wakes up easily if there's potential danger) & doesn't move around much. During Inquisition he sleeps better out in the field than at Skyhold. He's used to sleeping in tents or out in the wild with other hunters, & even back at camp there would always be the sounds of other people sleeping close by, so he finds his room in the tower too quiet. He often finds it hard to put aside his work & rest but it's easy for Bull to distract him and lure him to bed. As the pain from the anchor gets worse he sleeps less & fitfully. His sleep gets back to it's pre DAI normal a couple of years after Tresspasser (DATV events ruin that for a bit). His favourite way to sleep is lying on top of Bull with his head on his chest. Kalais is not a light sleeper but isn't difficult to wake up. He tends to sleep on his side, slightly curled up. He sometimes gets too distracted to remember to sleep but is normally good at making sure he does. Some early events in DATV eg. Weisshaupt gave him nightmares but nothing unexpected. However after Blood of Arlathan the combo of Solas & Elgar'nan in his head, realising Solas could talk to him when he was asleep & not knowing if the other 'gods' could affect his thoughts made Kalais avoid sleep as much as possible until he physically couldn't any more. After the Fade prison he has nightmares of being back there that leave him doubting if he's actually awake & free after. He likes to be the little spoon & sleep cuddling with Davrin.

The Exclusion Zone that the Blockbuster is inside is a bit larger the the most dangerous 4-mile section the Worldeater controls. It used to be an Urban Revitalization project proposed by the governor of Illinois that was never intended to be finished. The plan was that the governor would accept the bid of his cousin's construction company who would run into "issues" that would eat up the budget, then the two would split the embezzled profits. It worked well until they disturbed Bread in his home. After the governor and constuction owner were eaten by Static, the new governor never found out about the malfeasance and focused on the entity that killed a governor. The technical limits of the zone are the boundaries of the old construction site, about 10 miles of roped off blocks of Peoria, IL. Most is taken up by the EZ-RAIDER base and the Worldeater's Zone, but the rest is half-flattened buildings and parking lots that are used as staging zones, Tresspasser hideouts, or leased out for puplic use. The biggest event is a huge annual fireworks show on July 4th. The state leases off a large area at the furthest point from the Zone and subsidizes the cost for the fireworks. The noise and lights disturbs the Worldeater to the point the only Proxy it can use is Static, who can't actually *stop* the show b/c the fireworks are being launched under floodlights. It was originally used as cover for a large EZ-RAIDER operation, but all they got for their efforts was the knowledge that the Worldeater played fair with their raids, a fully pissed-off Static *does not*. That raid had a 100% KIA rate, so they decided to keep the firework show as a way to salvage some public good from the entire mess. It can be seen from most everywhere in the city.

My boys are both Dalish but have different approaches to what that means for them:
Ves was raised to follow clan Lavellan's Dalish beliefs and practices. He believed in the creators and his faith was important to him. Seeing the mosaics in the elven ruins that suggest everything he believed may be a lie really messes him up. After the events of Tresspasser, Ves isn't sure what he believes in anymore and can't work out how he feels about his faith for a long time. Ghilan'nain and Elgar'nan appsaring in Veilguard would have been 100 times worse for him if he hadn't already seen those mosaics, but it was still hard for him to accept. He gradually starts to be able to reclaim a few bits of his culture by dissasociating them from the truth about the evanuris. But it's not until he gets a chance to speak to Kalais (who has always believed the Dalish and their traditions are now their own new, separate thing from whatever happened in ancient Elvehnan) that Ves starts to feel comfortable seeing himself Dalish again. Kalais is atheist, but practices Dalish traditions secularly. For example he has Vallaslin, done as per his clan's ritual, but it is not dedicated to a god. He got his love of his people's culture from his father, who's family have belonged to their clan for many generations. His father believes in the creators and encouraged Kalais and his sisters to learn about their Dalish heritage. However Kalais' mother was born into slavery in Tevinter. She didn't belive in the Maker because she didn't like the idea that he would let people suffer like her family did, and when she learnt there were supposedly elven gods it seemed even worse that they would allow their people to be enslaved, so she didn't believe in them either. Neither parent forced Kalais or his sisters to believe their viewpoint so each of them grew up to form their own ideas on whether to follow the gods or not.
