Opri can be pretty scary. In like a cold way. They will threaten you with a smile on their face if you’re being horrible. Also they can kill you but would like to avoid that.

Au!Opri is the same except they look forward to killing you. And their threshold for unspeakable violence is much lower.

Most of the time?? Not at all no

But when Kai drops the easy going jokes and silliness and gets seriously pissed? It’s intimidating because of how far you have to push him to get like that
It can get violent 😬

people don't really know he can just melt someone's skin off if he's mad enough so he just comes off as scary as a hamster until it's too late

Inquisitor Louise Adaar can often be reserved in manner, aiming for a quiet dignity that’s bolstered by her status.

However, in battle she’s a seven foot + Qunari with a sword longer than most foes are tall. She *lives* in battle. She throws her weight around with abandon and slices foes in half.

Kalais is small & people tend to find him annoying rather than be afraid. The fact that he just keeps getting back up in a fight can become unnerving though.

Ves can give off an intimidating aura if he wants. On the battlefield his seemingly effortless skill & tempest abilities make him terrifying.

Natalie can be very scary, especially when something happens to the people she loves.

Sehlana isn’t scary. 🤣

Vallira is about average height for a "modern" day elf, but in ancient Elvhenan, (at least in my HC) elves were usually taller. She is not visually imposing, but her abilities are.

She has a tendency to pop out of seemingly nowhere. And her words can compel others easily.

Iris is 4 foot 11 so don’t look scary at all but she studied necromancy in part to scare the stuffing out of anyone silly enough to come at her.

That, and her rather… hot temper means she can be utterly terrifying!

First impression of Dario is that he's scary. He's tall, he's muscular, he often fakes an aggressive demeanor, & thanks to Despair, he has a rather dark aura about him. But you only have to talk to him for like 5 minutes & get past that (super thin) veneer & realize he's actually a giant puppy dog.

I’d say the Regular amount of scary for an Elf Warrior, but when the Remnant of Wrath finds its way to the surface and control of them! You’ll want to be far away.

I think Violeta can get pretty scary. She's already just a big woman, but mainly she's intimidating through her sheer confidence (though on the other hand she's charismatic enough to put people at ease). She's also pretty liberal with threats, and callous enough to make good on them, too

Alyss is scary for such a tiny elf. So far she has:

Stabbed the Arl's son so viciously that man was inside out.

Made at least three men twice her size piss themselves a little.

Single handedly took down an ogre.

Told a sloth demon "I'm not here to bargain I'm here to destroy you" and then did.👇

Illyria (HoF) can be TERRIFYING. Stern, cold, determined.

Siam (Hawke) has a reputation and uses it when needed but she herself isn't scary.

Rin (Inky) isn't. At all. It's a problem sometimes, but she just can't do it.

Meleys (Rook) can be very scary if needed but doesn't want to be.

He's never failed an intimidation check, that's for sure. Bro is a 6'6" blood mage. I've called him "Morrigan's scary dog privilege" before, and we all know how afraid people can be of her. He may look soft making flower crowns with Kieran, but he's a straight up godslayer.

Marcus has the face of someone who came straight from the Chantry, and he is usually kind, but when he is mad...then he is MAD. He swears a lot when is angry, and he does look like he is about to explode. This can look pretty scary to strangers. In Illario's eyes he looks like an angry chihuahua.

Adessa always had her hair short to be out of the way as it is more practical, but after the disband of the Inquisition, she let her hair get long and didn't cut it at all.

So by Veilguard she had her hair the length of her back

Anaïs is practicality and comfort above all else, the sad goth to her wife's glam goth. She's always stuck to the basics she knows (but tolerates Morrigan dolling her up when occasion demands). Her only signature might be always having some hair to hide behind?

I think Ellana’s got to do the big dramatic haircut after Trespasser, at least on account of the missing arm

How does your OC change their appearance over the years? Do they have a signature thing that they keep (eg, a hairstyle)?
