After 8 months and over 26,000 stitches, I've finished my Blackwall romance cross stitch! This project had a lot of firsts for me, so I'm really proud of how it came out. I used metallic thread in the cloak, and the anchor glows in the dark!

Cursing my past self for not switching out one of these icons when I made the pattern

Ilia uses a greatsword (because she originally learned using her older brother's sword that was too big for her) and always runs right into the middle of the action (giving Blackwall more grey hairs every time she does)

I love everything about Ilia, so I will just use this as an excuse to talk about something I never talk about, which is her nose. It's so cute and round, and tbh probably the thing I spent the most time on when I originally made her and the main reason I'm not happy with her veilguard self

Ilia's name was completely random (I just kind of threw something in there that sounded pretty to me so I could get out of character creation already), and now it has so much meaning and backstory that I can't imagine who she would be with a different name 😭
