Tomorrow is Bon's creation day! Originally she was planned to be a dark pink/purple hue, but was shifted to become blue in order to pair better with her backless dress-coat. Normally she's opaque, but heat buildup causes translucency. This in turn leads to exposing heart-shaped cores!

when just shading flat I use a brush that has a nice, low opacity and translucency quality and a dark version of my main shade color and swipe over that (so a dark purple, dark blue or a dark red, etc. depending on lighting)

feels a bit like shading with markers or watercolor!

This is my first time playing with Dither Temporal AA Node in Unreal Engine. As far as I understand, its main purpose is Opacity Mask as an alternative to Translucency blend, more cheaper. For now for me it's perfect for flow effects

The macOS 26 version of Music.app I know this is where I put descriptions for the vision impaired but fuck me dead this is indescribable. Just translucency over translucency.

A complicated image to describe, but this is a close-up of an outdoor chair formed entirely of a rich red open web of plastic. The beautiful translucency of the plastic is what makes this so attractive to me. This image is zoomed out a little where there parts of 5 individual chairs are visible for context. The chairs were unstacked at the end of the season for power-washing before winter storage.

I'm with you, spent about $120 on that crap, mixed it exactly as their instructions said, played with it for a few hours, gave up. Inconsistent thickness between paints, translucency requiring a LOT of layers...Not a patch on SMS (the best imo) or good old Tamiya/Gunze.
