Prop portions
[3/4]

(thank you @dangerousladies.ca for the headpiece, necklace, bow, and quails, along with the plain gauntlet files that were modified)
BELT: Cut from EVA foam, and bonded with contact cement, then spray-painted. Slots were designed for a utility belt, and tassels were attached via leather cord. ROPE: 5 strands of 1" cotton cord, dyed to colors, and wrapped together. Kept in tulle sleeves, with heat shrink ends, inside of 3D-printed endcaps with magnetic closures. PROPS: Props on this page specifically were 3D modeled by Dangerous Ladies then printed and assembled by me. The bracer below is a special case, as I modified their plain, modular gauntlet files with moons. All props had multiple passes of sanding, priming, and painting with spray paint. Bow ends were glued wig fiber. The bow breaks down for travel with magnets, and the head piece is connected via fishing line, then glued to a headband.

In solidarity with the American Anti-ICE Labour strike today, we will not be doing any promotion today. As Canadians, we are very aware of what is going on just outside our borders. We are thinking of our friends and family in the US, as well as our clients and fellow cosplay community members. This situation is completely fucked up, top to bottom, on so many levels. There’s really no other way to say it. I have to be candid. It’s fucked up! It’s fucked up that the Trump administration is hunting and kidnapping people from the streets, and it’s fucked up that people still have to go to work to pay the bills and survive while that’s happening. It’s fucked up that so many people are scared, hurting and afraid, both inside the US and out of it. It’s just fucked up! Making art in a time like this is really strange, and really hard. I don’t just mean us as a business, I mean artists as a whole. Humans need to create to thrive, even when it feels like the world is breaking apart under our feet. Art enriches our lives; that’s why fascism despises it. If you have even one minute of extra time or energy today, or any day, you should make a little art, even if it’s just a doodle on a napkin. You’ll have made more of value than pieces of shit like Greg Bovino or Tom Homan have in their entire lives, and that matters. So while we have to keep working to keep our artists employed, this is to say: fuck fascism, fuck the Trump administration, fuck ICE. Solidarity forever. If you’re a Canadian, I also have a small favour to ask. There is a company called Roshel in Brampton, Ontario that supplies armoured vehicles to ICE.
