#Thurstaston
Walk from Thurstaston to YOT (for coffee) and back. Lovely light, Santa in his grotto, dryish underfoot though kept to Wirral Way.

I’d say 1) Telegraph Road (top of Thurstaston Hill) 2) The Arno 3) Clifton Road, Birkenhead (opposite the Masonic Temple) 4) Tantalising glimpse of the Dee Estuary in the background but don’t know where this is. Lovely to see so many flowers in bloom.

Fun fact the devs of this are from the same place as me, there's a bunch of local references

New Wirral = The Wirral
Dr Pensby = Pensby
Thirstaton Lake = Thurstaston
Eastham Woods = Eastham

I think there's a character called Hoylake as well which is also a place and more references I'm forgetting

A short walk this lunchtime, from Heswall to Thurstaston, along the top path. Autumnal colours very much fading now as nature prepares for winter, but pleasant to be out in the sunshine, despite the biting cold when in the shade. 🌞🥶

Up onto Thurstaston Hill and along to Royden Park on today's lunchtime walk - pleasantly warm in the unexpected, but welcome, sunshine. 🌞

Walk from Thurstaston to Banks Road. Full moon last night so tide high. New path OK but starting to submerge beyond so backtracked to detour (and bonus emu). Coffee at YOT and return via Wirral Way.

The Dungeon path, between Heswall and Thurstaston. Nice to see the stream flowing again, after being virtually dry all summer.

I’d do it now but need to be near my mum who refuses to leave rural Derbyshire. Her neighbours sold up and moved back to Thurstaston a couple of years ago.

Fly agaric, Thurstaston common.

My walks are few and far between just now, but this beauty lifted the spirits.

A solo walk for me today: West Kirby to Heswall via Thurstaston: 7.2 mile, initially walking on The Wirral Way, then along the Coastal Path & then back on The Wirral Way ….

We no longer have kin there and the journey is long. Up to a few years ago we had a campervan and stayed on a site overlooking the estuary at Thurstaston. Listening to the birds on the mudflats at low tide as we lay in bed early in the morning was a great way to wake up.

Heading from the more scouse side of the Wirral over to the fancier side for a family do in West Kirby. On the map you can also see Thurstaston which means “Thor’s stone” because a few years ago, the Norse god Thor put a big stone on top of a hill. Not sure why but the view from there is amazing.

Walked from #Thurstaston to YOT. Pleased to see the new path now usable. OTOH will be interesting to see how the clifftop path holds up over autumn and winter. Sky overcast but a good light for watching the ducks and waders.

Unexpected emu in the pecking area.

Encountered during walk from #Thurstaston to YOT via the high tide diversion. Work underway there to make a proper path. #KC3P

Most excellent 7 mile hike around Thurstaston and along The Wirral Way..finishing off with a beer in Heswall and then fish & chips & beer in Parkgate

I shall be donning my walking boots & backpack this morning and going on a gentlemen’s hike around Thurstaston on The Wirral. I believe there will be a pub & some good food & scran at the journeys end. As well as 2 shattered red faced gents 🥾🎒🫩🥘🍻
