#Starmer’s
(I think in both cases you can sort of see how they might have worked out with a different prime minister, but they are both, in different ways, manifestations of Starmer’s tendency to hire poorly.)

#C4News The media are just a lynch mob to bring Keir Starmer down. Media Interviewing just far left MPs calling for Starmer's resignation. He had bad judgement, he's apologised. Now is not the time when world peace is so fragile to change leader. We are safer with Starmer as PM @krishgm.bsky.social

the courts instead of hiring more lawyers and judges. Starmer is suddenly a transphobe. The Home Secretary, who previously supported Palestinian rights, is now against them. It’s bizarre considering they won a landslide election, but less so if you dig into Starmer’s chief advisor, Morgan McSweeney

it‘s weird, almost too narratively tidy, that the thing that looks likely to end Keir Starmer’s premiership is the same thing as did for Boris Johnson, when Starmer’s whole deal was being the anti-Johnson, namely not taking sexual abuse seriously

This ⤵️

Bad as the call to appoint Mandy has turned out to be, the appointment was lauded by pretty much all quarters at the time.

The scandal here is Mandy's treason.

Starmer's nigh-on non existent political instincts are not—or should not be—the media & commentariat's sole focus.
Who knows maybe it's an increase in relatively politics-economics educated grown adults who understand that even imperfect or arguably flawed modern day Social Democrat Keir Starmer,
is both of a much better choice & indisputably a lesser evil to more of Treasonous Tories or The Cult of Nigel Farage

Seems like the Parliament in the United Kingdom is about to hold PM Starmer's feet to the Epstein fire 🔥. How shocking that America can't do this here.

I wonder if @greenparty.org.uk winning the Gorton and Denton byelection will be the last straw that finally forces Keir Starmer's resignation.
Go on The Greens!!!
Saturday. 10am. Denton.

Biggest action day ever?

We have to stop Reform.

Let’s elect Hannah Spencer 💚

“To [Starmer’s] credit, some of [the Report’s] recommendations are already being put in place – … – but he will be the first to agree that we must now move much faster and further.”

Starmer’s list of achievements as PM is impressive. His handling of Fascist Trump necessary and effective

Johnson illegally prorogued Parliament, expelled top sensible Tories, lied to Parliament, broke his Covid rules. All tolerated. Mysteriously lost his WhatsApp for Covid Inquiry.

This looks likely to be the end of Keir Starmer’s premiership.

If we vote for leaders on their ability to exercise good judgment, they have to honour that judgement and Starmer did not.

Choosing a snake to join the other snakes was always going to bite him on the arse.

Do I think Farage should be under fire in the press if he’s in the Epstein files? Yes. I very much hope they get their shit together on that. Do I think he should be prosecuted if he’s implicated in anything? Yes.OBVIOUSLY. Do I think Starmer’s judgement re. Mandelson is fitting of a sitting PM? No.
February 6, 2026 at 7:14 PM
I get that, my point is why was there no media frenzy when Mandelson was sacked in September 2025. There's clearly a lot of questions for Mandelson to answer but Starmer's position is exactly what it was last September.

Given that Starmer rapidly abandoned the principles on which he campaigned and was elected as leader of the Labour Party, the correct response to this scaremongering from “Keir Starmer’s allies” is laughter and a boot up the backside.
Quite funny that Starmer's allies are waking up to this point now …

Cuts to Winter Fuel… not in the manifesto
Disability benefit cuts… not in there either
Cutting jury trials… also not there
Digital ID… no mention
Raising employers NI… nope
Freezing tax threholds… nah
Contracts with Palantir… no

I for one would welcome Starmer's political demise. He's toxic, has no political judgement and frankly was high on leadership and power, he believes he's capable, he isn't. Be gone with him and the sooner the better.

Starmer's Labour are uniquely incapable of taking even the mildest criticism
Public Order Act 2023 (Interference With Use or Operation of Key National Infrastructure) Regulations 2025 passed by parliament.

Restricts the right to protest outside animal testing facilities, now defined as “national infrastructure.”

I was the only Labour peer to vote against the govt.

Trump has a majority of one parties in a two party system, who will stand by him no matter what. Labour would finish fourth or fifth in a GE held today, and Starmer's own party barely tolerates him.

Because it’s made Starmer’s error in judgement look even worse and in any case Starmer has lost power - so the sharks are circling

Starmer was never going to survive 2026 regardless of Mandelson

I actually hand-wrote a letter to my Labour MP asking her to publicly ask for Starmer's resignation. I'd never written a letter to an MP before!

Keir Starmer’s chief of staff Morgan McSweeney was reportedly “instrumental” in appointing Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the US. But who is McSweeney? In December, Stuart McGurk profiled the PM’s right-hand man.
