#Ranelagh
I am awake, awaiting for my flat to warm up, before trusting my vulnerable cadaverous flesh to the vicissitudes of the Ranelagh Arctic. Meanwhile, coffee*

All the hoohaa about naming or renaming a park in Ranelagh, my tuppence worth… we should name the park the Werner Herzog Park. After all he made that batshit crazy movie about a batshit crazy fictional Irishman, Brian Sweeney Fitzgerald

Where I live in Dublin, Ranelagh, is the main area outside the city centre for restaurants. They were all lit up, decorated for Christmas & just setting up for a busy evening tonight! Ironically I can’t eat out due to disability, but I can enjoy the aromas! A lovely spot!

Watching the DCC fight the tide on this for the last couple years has been pretty fun

Christmas is bursting out all over Ranelagh. This junction is known as the Triangle. Some Irish towns have different shape ‘greens’ in their centre. Dublin City Council put up the tree. In the early ‘90s, the entire Dublin budget for Xmas trees was just IR£500 [€571] which shows how far we’ve come!

That’s frustrating. Some Dublin suburbs are like that [but coffee shops usually close at about 6pm]. The thing is that Ranelagh is a choke point between the city centre & the SW of the city so always has passing trade.

I've a letter in today's Irish Times about the MetroLink judicial review. I urge everyone who regularly drives near Ranelagh to do the same.

Woke: improve infrastructure delivery by making the proposals legally compliant in the first place

Do the Dartmouth Square folks think everybody riding Metrolink will take it all the way to the end? That folks will wander around Dublin wondering where to get on until they reach Ranelagh?

At that time I did view an entire apartment, in a block of flats, in Ranelagh. It was €750 per month for a one bed apartment. One beds in that exact block of flats, now start at €2,100 pm

Bit nippy in Ranelagh this evening [3°C & 80% humidity]. The shops, bars & restaurants have made an effort with Christmas lights & tree! Even some local houses have their Sacred Trees in their windows! Nollaig Shona Duit! 🎄 🎄🌲🎄

The Christmas lights are up in Ranelagh & the buzz in the village is palpable. Some new restaurants too. If I were not lactose-intolerant, I’d be in Heaven! But it’s nice to see people enjoy themselves & get wafts of Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, Persian, French, Italian & Irish food! 🎄🌲🎄

Sound up for some wholesome joy! 🙌🏻

We celebrated the opening of a new playground locally today, in an area called The Green, Bounds Green (right by the Ranelagh pub).

The “Friends of the Green Bounds Green” have done an amazing job of getting to this point and I learnt … 1/9
