Do you want more trees in your area?

Take a look at this amazing map - with the Layer on "Planting Sites" (rather than "Trees").

#OxfordshireCC is proposing a congestion relief scheme for Oxford in advance of the traffic filters. @cycloxoxford.bsky.social and @cohsat.bsky.social give their thumbs up 👍🙌👏 www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/2522760...
Cyclists urge council to 'be bold' in dealing with congestion

Visits to @TelfordWrekin & @OxfordshireCC #SharedLives schemes left a big impression on Chief Social Worker Isabelle Trowler:

“If you are an authority or a social worker or personal adviser who doesn’t know about Shared Lives, you are missing a trick.”

@OxfordshireCC we believe the road heading to the reserve has been reported for potholes before? Otmoor lane is becoming more dangerous by the day, especially the middle section which is heavily distorted & riddled with potholes. Another report will be made to @fixmystreet

Can someone explain please why @oxfordshirecc@bsky.social refuses or fails to clear out the drains on the road between Chinnor and Thame resulting in the road being flooded in the current period of bad weather. Electric cars do not like water!

Great evening in Oxford for the @OxfordshireCC Chairman’s Charity Dinner, hearing from Rory Cellan-Jones about his work campaigning for @ParkinsonsUK.

We've had @VoiTechnologyUK bikes in Oxford and they are fine, kept in defined spaces. Now @limebike has arrived without permission and with the reputation for not giving a toss about littering streets and pavements. And here we are this morning. Get rid of them @OxfordshireCC

Reported an abandoned bike in Summertown on @FixMyStreet yesterday. Response today tells me that this not a @oxfordshirecc responsibility and I need to take this up with @OxfordCity.

@OxfordshireCC & @OxfordCity must consider on-carriageway e-hire bike parking, like they're proposing for regular pedal bike parking, or finding other space where they can be safely parked without inconveniencing others. (Thanks @emilykerr36.bsky.social for the photo) 3/4

Pleased to be included in this edition of @PETAUK's magazine. Becoming a vegan was one of the most important decisions of my life and the result of my motion at @OxfordshireCC will stand as possibly my first personal achievement in local government...

It's 70 years since Sir Roger Bannister ran the 1st sub-4-min mile @OxUnisport. To celebrate there was a Community Mile yesterday organised by @uniofoxford & @OxfordshireCC. Many took part, incl our Prof & Tutor in English, Prof Kate McLoughlin (seen here w Prof Nick Trefethan)!

Good to speak in Parliament (well in the Atlee room) today on how councils need to be more mindful of Vegans. Glad to see that @OxfordshireCC came top of the class as assessed by the Vegan Society. Just a Shame invited MPs like @EmilyThornberry and @MPGeorgeEustice didn't show up

Off the Parliament today to support the launch of The Vegan Society’s new report: ‘Catering for Everyone : How Far Are Councils Catering To Vegans? Speaking in the House of Lords about how @OxfordshireCC became the first county council to adopt a #PlantBased only food policy.

I listened to many moving stories from parents of SEND children after this morning's meeting of @OxfordshireCC. The Libdem/Green Alliance pledged to lead cross party action to tackle the shortcomings in the service in Oxon. We now need to see the rhetoric translated into results.

Great to be joined by #volunteers from @OxfordshireCC today. They helped with moving cut material off the fen, and later with bank repairs to the Lye Brook. Thanks all, really appreciated!

This is awful. Councils all refusing to engage with this lovely plan & saying everyone else is responsible. Come on @OxfordshireCC do better.🐝 Banbury school boys face disappointment as councils deflect wildflower plan, meant to 'make people happy'...

FFS @OxfordshireCC the potholes are there and a real danger that has cost me £135 in repairs to my car ... you're not seriously expecting us to be able to pinpoint the potholes to within the nearest centimetre on a digital map are you? What a waste of money you are.

Completely burst my tyre tonight on a double pothole next to the Farmoor Reservoir entrance between Cumnor and Farmoor ... watch out if you're a local ... if you're @OxfordshireCC you should hang your heads in shame at having a road network less well maintained than Albania's.
