Epstein saw Brexit as incredible opportunity: "Descent into “tribalism”, as he called it, would open the door to millions of back door deals among the wealthy who would be the only remaining bidders in the fire sale of the UK’s collapsing assets"

Better with EU!
Europe and the UK should come closer together – on security, on economy or on defending our democracies.

Ten years on from Brexit, our futures are as bound as ever.

So, it is in our common interest to be ambitious about our partnership.

Such a sad story - these little cafes are a lifeline for so many. Shame that there is not a community fund they could tap into.

Measles is a bellwether. Because it’s the most contagious vaccine-preventable disease, when vaccination rates drop, it’s the first to start spreading.

Now we’ve got mumps rolling up.

Expect more.

This is just the beginning of RFK Jr.’s successful infectious disease reintroduction plan.

I am really enjoying Mayor Mamdani. Glimmers of humour & hope from the US.
Everyone in the world comes to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau. Last week, the Mayor stopped by to officiate a few of those ceremonies.

Thank you to all the couples who shared their joy with us. Happy Valentine's Day, New York.

Donald Trump is playing politics yet again with your money.

His decision to block funding rightfully coming to our state comes at a real cost to our economy.

Good to hear but both sides need to act urgently on this.
Starmer will also say that Europe must shift from overdependence on the US and towards a more European NATO, underpinned by "deeper links between the UK and the EU"

“We are not the Britain of the Brexit years anymore"

This is SO bad. Not content with polluting America - Trump is denying the world cures for diseases like MS. 😔
In terms of what cures are being lost:

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

Council Tax has become increasingly regressive.

It now takes nearly 5% of income from the poorest families but barely 1% from the richest. For many, it's become a grinding monthly obligation to rival the Poll Tax.
