This is very sad & mystifying. 😔
In 2023, the Labour party supported mandating swift bricks, whipping FOR the swifts brick amendment. 2 years later, the same Ministers in charge of Housing put a 3 line whip (the most extreme block) AGAINST swift bricks. Listen to the strength of support in this powerful speech.

Good. They are seriously overpaid and of questionable use.
BREAKING Home Office is about to announce that police and crime commissioners are to be scrapped..
Established in 2012 by Theresa May, Labour has never been a fan of the PCC system…they’ll be replaced in 2028 by policing mayors & local policing boards ..

Brexit is strangling our economy and still ruining our politics 😔
Brexit Damage
⬇️ GDP down 6-8%
⬇️ Investment down 12-18%
⬇️ Employment down 3-4%
⬇️ Productivity down 3-4%
Why isn't this spoken about in the lead up to the budget"

I'm not sure if others have noticed this, but interesting that one of the Prescott criticisms of the BBC is based on those of the 'History Reclaimed' group, which is also associated with the 'Restore Trust' group's attacks on & so far unsuccessful attempts to take control of the National Trust. 1/3

This is the absolute best explainer of the current attempted coup at the BBC. It’s why Nigel Farage hates the bbc despite its endless desperation to give him a platform.
The Right will never be satisfied until the BBC is destroyed.

Two-thirds of California's power comes from clean energy.

For 9 in 10 days so far this year, we were 100% powered for some part of the day by clean energy.

So? The incumbent GOP sheriff had contracted with ICE. His Dem challenger promised to end the contract.

Now he wants other swing-state Dems to look at his victory as a lesson:

Exactly & if Farage gets in the BBC will be finished. 😔
The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.
