With the final proposals for reorganising Oxfordshire’s councils being published this week, the first out the gate is the ‘Two Councils’ proposal from the rural districts. This would see one new council comprising Oxford City, Cherwell and West Oxon, and another with South, Vale and West Berkshire.

3 things Starmer could do instead of camps in old barracks that would actually WORK👇
1. Create safe, regulated routes to apply for asylum in the UK
2. Let asylum seekers WORK & support themselves
3. Fast track status for people from obviously unsafe countries

Reality bites. This is what happens when you have a party (that isn't really a party) sticking up candidates who think it will be an easy ride to populist nirvana. Setting budgets is hard, especially against a background of funding cuts and tone deaf government policies. Careful what you wish for!
In May, after winning control of ten councils, Reform’s then-chair Zia Yusuf told the BBC what voters expect from their local authorities: they want bins collected, potholes fixed, and council waste cut.
“They don’t want their council tax going up,” he said. "Reform will deliver on those things.”
