Another busy day at reserve #SavisWarbler again we urge all visitors to respect neighbours, #Otmoor lane is very narrow with limited passing places. Park in marked areas, very limited parking. Pay for parking 😊. Keep the damage to banks to absolute minimum. Thank you. Enjoy.
Many thanks for taking the time to share 😊
A lovely visit to an icy @rspbotmoor.bsky.social to year tick the Tundra Bean Geese. Good numbers of White Fronted & a family party of Barnacles there too. Also Raven, Water Rail, Marsh Harrier, Fieldfare & Redwing the other highlights

My first Tundra Bean Geese in southern England since 2007, and my first ever in Oxon, were part of the flock of 18 birds on @rspbotmoor.bsky.social this afternoon. Good to see @tmbirding.bsky.social and @josephtobias.bsky.social too 👌🏻

The Oxon birding round up for September now live. Obvious highlight a 1w Bluethroat at @rspbotmoor.bsky.social, the 3rd county record. Other highlights include a couple Manx Shearwater and plenty of wader action, although frequently not twitchable. oxonbirding.blogspot.com/2025/10/sept... #UKBirding
September Review
Highlights I set out on a somewhat dispirited version of the highlights section in late September , pointing out the lack of rarities and ...

Fabulous find. Thank you for sharing this with the community. 👌
Well who on earth had Bluethroat on their Oxon bingo card? An incredible run of birds for the county continued with a 1w male Bluethroat at @rspbotmoor.bsky.social this morning, found late evening yesterday. Both a county and UK ✔️ for me! County Big Year now on 188 (+ GWT). #UKbirding

Surreal indeed, but the local wildlife do not seem affected by their neighbours manoeuvres.
Slightly surreal at Otmoor this afternoon. From first screen there’s Glossy Ibis, Egret roost that had 31 Cattle 29 Little 1 Great when I left ( #climatechange ) and the army dropping parachutists behind enemy lines 🪂 #birds #ukbirding @rspbotmoor.bsky.social

I’ve not caught up with my moth pics yet from the traps but I did manage to see a few dragon and damselflies about the weekend @rspbotmoor.bsky.social on Sunday, I do love a dragonfly! Wish I had more time to devote to them and butterflies but I don’t so I enjoy them when I can #ukdragonflies

Sad to see that the #SavisWarbler has probably left us. After a frantic weekend of reports & visits to X & Bluesky, it seems we have more interaction via Bluesky than X. Is this a change in users preference? Are others using X less? #socialmedia #X #bluesky

Uber important. We do have signs up on the banks asking visitors not to stand or go on the banks as it can disturb wildlife. However we can’t police it 24/7 & don’t want to be killjoys. So, keep the damage & disruption to the absolute minimum. Thanks you. #SevisWarbler

Parking is also limited. So please be patient. Don’t block people in, keep gates clear. Do not park on the verges. Thanks.

The Savi's Warbler at @rspbotmoor.bsky.social put on a good show first thing. Reeling almost constantly when I was there between 5 and 6.30 and showing well if distantly. #UKBirding #birding #birds
