Like minded white christian nationalists definitely think so- because she was murdered for being a "mouthy lesbian." Above all, these people want the US to go back to being a country where white christian men have all the power, and BIPOC, LGBQ+ and women are afraid to "talk back" to a white man.

although I suppose it at least acknowledges the truth that no, the EHRC has alienated the vast majority of cis LGBQ+ people also. Which is a step up from journalists who present this as a direct conflict between "trans people" on one hand and "lesbians/ women" on the other 🙄

These fellows aren’t traditional Republicans; they’ve cast aside the old notions of inclusivity of blacks, and Log Cabin Republicans. Those grand invitations have vanished—replaced by ethno-centric white supremacists who regard minorities and the LGBQ community with disdain.
