Goldberg was apparently quite close to WWE legend Hulk Hogan and was one of the last few people the late icon had talked to. Da Man and the Hulkster were major factors in the success of both World Championship Wrestling and WWE, and had even gone toe to toe several times. One of Goldberg’s WCW title wins came from taking down Hogan in the late 1990s.

Goldberg says he spoke to Hulk Hogan a week before his death. Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan passed away in July after suffering a heart attack. The Hulkster had undergone surgery in the months leading up to his passing. His widow, Sky Daily, blamed the procedure for allegedly exacerbating the cardiovascular event and noted that she was considering a medical malpractice lawsuit. Hulk Hogan was laid to rest in a private ceremony in Largo, Florida. The funeral saw some of wrestlingâ€s biggest names in attendance, including Vince McMahon. WWEâ€s former boss previously spoke about his relationship with Hogan in an interview with TMZ and also expressed his displeasure over the crowd reaction to Hoganâ€s RAW appearance earlier this year.
