In 2026 we find that the real moral horror of AI isn't that we'd be creating sentient life only for servitude to actual humans, but that we'd create wildly inefficient plagiarism algorithms that capitalists will sell to us as "sentient" in order to exploit and further impoverish actual humans.

I feel the same about Bugonia as I felt about 10 Cloverfield Lane. It's I guess an interesting thing to reveal a conspiracy nut you are led to believe is crazy the whole movie is actually correct, however not interesting enough to risk it reinforcing actual dangerously deluded people IRL.
