damn this new video editor is just as easy to use as hitfilm. already gotten slightly used to it. i think i might be able to do this
genuinely still really upset cuz i lost all progress i made on the fnaf2 beta night 5 video. friends found a new video editor with similar features to hitfilm which is nice. but the idea of having to start all over really demotivates me. oh well
just wanted to continue working on my new fnaf2 beta video and hitfilm instantly keeps crashing upon startup and theres no way to fix it. cool

(Seriously. Currently my video editing skills are still limited to Camtasia Studio 8 and CapCut PC. Not ready to move to towards Vegas, HitFilm or DaVinci Resolve)

So, even though the new mouse was fine with a lot of the other software, somehow it decides to tweak tf out when I use HitFilm Pro few moments ago (like it was moving on its own during some points-)

I don't know if it's the best option but Hitfilm Express is what I usually use to make my dumb little videos and it's fairly nuts and bolts, similar to Premiere

Davinci Resolve is free and incredibly powerful but not intuitive to use. But you can do things like incorporate 3D models.

I did a MOOC several years ago on VFX which used Hitfilm. A lot of that was compositing. Would have loved to pursue that further but never had the time

Indeed, it's truly a damn shame about Hitfilm. But since my older version is permanent license & still works fine for my needs I can still stick with it since I know my way around it & get stuff done.
That said, Resolve looks to provide a dandy unique palette of its own too. Mo' options! :)

Oh pfff gosh I use HitFilm Express cuz it's what I started with and now I'm used to it, I wouldn't really recommend it, lol. I've used CapCut on desktop and mobile and I'd recommend that, tho! It's easy to use and has nice features!

So a bit of a TL;DR: FXHome is shutting down and if we want to keep the HitFilm, we gotta download the software before Jan. 15th, 2025. Those that already have the free version of the software are practically unaffected, and those with the Creator/Pro Plans would keep the versions they have forever!

So, I wanna see if getting HitFilm Pro + its activation loader will work. I'm using my old, OLD laptop as a test subject for this.
And I'm starting with Uninstalling Express to be on the safe side.
