Actually an even more relevant answer here is Airbender. The triple hurdles of
1) no, not that Avatar, this one came first and was better in every way
2) But it's a children's cartoon 3) With voice acting that takes a bit to adjust to
=failure every time I try to beg people to watch it. Esp bc #3.

This is definitely War of Faith for me. It is by far one of the best TV shows I've ever seen, period, but outside of people who already understand the appeal and pitfalls of Chinese dramas, by the time your rec gets to "but it subverts its own Communist propaganda!" you've already lost everyone else
