At school I had a Religious Studies class which was led by a fundie who gave hack explanations of why evolution is false so maybe that's why

I read @johnfugelsang.bsky.social's book of Separation of Church and Hate and it made me realize that I would have been totally cool with Christianity if my fundamentalist evangelical Southern Baptist relatives followed Jesus instead of Paul. Instead of love, I found hate, and so I turned from hate.

Between their media & their churches, they live in an alternate reality, not reality as we know it. I know that because I was raised in a fundamentalist kooky church & didn’t get out until I was 28, married w 2 little kids. My husband divorced me for refusing to go to church. it was worth it.
