I have wanted this so badly for practicing presenting

There's nothing that recreates the feeling of being called on to present your section. Nothing

Practicing speaking up in meetings? Trivial
Practicing your presentation in a mirror? Nothing simpler
This is a stupid idea, but I wish there were a good app that used VR with LLMs for language learning via conversation. I think part of visiting other countries helps with learning is your brain automatically shifts into "oh God I have to speak now" and it's hard to recreate that at home.

Android is still my preference but got to admit the seamless switching of airpods between Macbook, iPhone and iPad is pretty neat

Transfer teams call to iPad to walk around the house? Great stuff

Symptoms of a Stroke

The easiest way to remember the symptoms of a stroke is the word FAST. This stands for: face, arms, speech and time to call 999

Growing old is watching your memes lose potency
I made a “how do you do, fellow kids?” joke to someone in their mid 20s who, it turns out, was too young to have heard of that meme.

So “how do you do, fellow kids?” is now an example of “how do you do, fellow kids?”

There's something about these stories that makes me think about how generalisable this effect is

Obviously most people don't fall for it, but given just the right set of circumstances if you get hooked it seems you can get dragged down a path where the final outcome is you saying "how?"
A Canadian couple has lost CAD$1 million (USD$710,000) to online scammers.

The couple, in their 70s, fell victim to a tech support scam that showed error messages on their laptop and then got daily calls from the scammers until they ran out of money
