The photos don’t do the colours justice but there were pastel pink, green and blue colours.

Trust me, it was much more vivid and beautiful than shown here!

I had a dream last night that the sky had this weird combination of heavy, dark clouds on one side and multiple rainbows filling the rest, and everybody was coming out to watch and take photos.

I’ve always admired the fact that my subconscious does not fuck around with obscure symbolism.

Through the open shape in the middle is a smooth sandy beach, with densely wooded green hills behind. The trees appear to be tall pines. Low clouds hang over the hills, in a pale blue sky. The colors aren't like what I remember.

After two days of nonstop rain, wind, & darkness, yesterday afternoon I ventured out for a short walk. I didn't feel like it. It wasn't inviting. But it was good.

It’s #NationalSnowdropDay! Snowdrops, also known by the botanical name Galanthus, are one of the first plants to flower in the new year.

‘Drifts’ of snowdrops make for spectacular photos. Like this display at The Weir Garden, Herefordshire.

Photo Bruce McCandless during an EVA, this time much closer to the shuttle. The Earth below him is sky blue and covered in clouds. Space above the Earth is black and featureless; any stars that would be visible are washed out by the bright surface below. McCandless is in his white, clunky spacesuit with its reflective copper-colored visor and a large, blockish maneuvering unit on his back.
