Fireworks spooked a dog in Herring Cove and she was found by the GoodLife on Joseph Howe. Too many people don’t realize how stressful fireworks are for animals. Or they don’t care. Jackson is heavily medicated and Syd is stuck to my side - fireworks into their third hour around here.

What a lovely vacation day: nice long dog walk, lunch with my girls at a diner near where we used to live, some thrifting and just having time to spend together. Naturally my weakness for books led to a little thrifted stash.
