Jk, I got foamflower and Canada mayflower confused. Both short plants with clusters of white flowers, but different leaf shape.

All the fruit trees started blooming in the past week or two and it properly looks like spring now. My chickens are really loving the warmer weather, too.

The Virginia Bluebells (Mertensia virginica) are about finished blooming, but the Bugleweed (Ajuga) are prolifically taking over by lining my entire driveway in shades of purple!

Lycopus uniflorus (northern bugleweed) is typically a pretty subtle member of the mint family in a wetland planting, but the flowers are pretty charming at the height of blooming. Maxing out at about 16" tall and spread both by seed and runner/rhizome, they form abundant low vegetation that . . .

I’d love to share with you some of the wildflowers I spotted on yesterday’s bike ride. Honestly, I almost couldn’t decide whether to focus on the fresh greenery or the beautiful blue sky with those amazing clouds😊
