This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

I'm really sorry I am crashing out over this. I have so many friends who will lost their healthcare. So many people will die. For what?? For what?? So Walmart can get their $2bil this month? So the airlines can post profits?? @democrats.senate.gov have destroyed all trust and will destroy lives.
I fucking knew it. They are throwing away everything we have held out for for the chance to have a floor vote sometime in Dec on whether to extend the ACA credits. That would need 60 votes to pass and they don't have it.
