It was heartening to see elected officials from both major parties decry political violence in the wake of recent targeted shootings of public figures. However, it's important to recognize that state violence can be political violence too.

Sberbank must be sanctioned as much as possible.
SCOTUS turned away an appeal by Russia's Sberbank to avoid a lawsuit alleging it did business with a group blamed for downing a Malaysia Airlines jetliner over Ukraine in 2014. The family of Quinn Schansman who was killed in the crash, sued the bank under the Anti-Terrorism Act reut.rs/46Vksd2

This is alarming!
📣 Germany's close to reversing its opposition to mass surveillance & private message scanning, & backing the Chat Control bill. This could end private comms-& Signal-in the EU.

Time's short and they're counting on obscurity: please let German politicians know how horrifying their reversal would be.
We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...

Stephen Miller is a douchenoozle.
Stephen Miller is a psychopath.
The year is 2003.

17-year-old Stephen Miller is sitting in the back of a school bus talking about torture, as in “Torture is a celebration of human life and dignity."

Miller looks directly into the camera and describes the torturing Iraqis in gruesome detail, as his peers laugh uncomfortably.

Who could ever have imagined when I played a fictional rebel who joined the Resistance to oppose a criminal Authoritarian & wannabe King, it would be happening in real-life?

Beijing was transformed on Wednesday into a stage for one of the most elaborate Chinese military parades in recent memory, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, an event China has sought to use to drum up nationalism.
