Got inspired to continue my replay of BIS because of @chuggaaconroy.bsky.social and got this Jump Helmet score on my SECOND try!!! I knew I was good at these but wow 😅 My bestie @zeldapix.bsky.social can attest to this by the way, she saw me do it!

I've been having fun coming up with ideas for if my friends and I were in the Mario and Luigi series, and drew this! The gang is investigating...

The characters are shaded in a similar style as the official art for the game, which uses a softer sort of cel shading and uses blue-gray for particularly dark segments. The floor and ceiling are red and cel shaded, with a blue watercolor background, and various purple lines that somewhat resemble a spiderweb. The ceiling has a gap in it, referencing where Mario first entered the Trash Pit in the game. All of the characters are staring at this gap. Zelda's character is a chubby anthropomorphic shiny Alolan Vulpix. She has her left hand on her hip, and her right hand on her cheek. She is looking at the ceiling in curiosity. Pawki's character is a cat girl resembling a star sprite from Bowser's Inside Story. She has her signature tail, hair, ears, and paws, but in this design lacks many of her bodily features, including her arms, hands, legs, and torso, to look more like Starlow. She also has a star above her head-- a signature look of the star sprites. She is looking up with her mouth slightly open in an O shape. James's character is an anthropomorphic dog. He has his arms folded, and bears a similar expression to Zelda. Shadow's character is a human with moth features, although he lacks his signature wings in this particular drawing. His left arm his holding up his right arm, and his right hand is on his chin in a thinking pose. He has a similar expression as Zelda and James.
