This is what "Keep politics out of games" is all about. You can say "I don't agree with the content in this game," but when you actually call out that problematic content, people get triggered because they realize you actually mean it, and are talking about them.

The saddest thing about FATAL is that Byron Hall not knowing arousal was a thing means we didn't get a vaginal tenting modifier.

Reminder that your favorite YouTube creators are all basically being held to the standard of "content ABC feels comfortable having on the same platform they use for distributing Jimmy Kimmel clips."

Hey, are you coming in from the dead bird site?
You should follow me! Why?
Well dear friend, because I am a sexy cartoonist and TTRPG designer/reviewer/educator. Also, I'm probably funny or something.

Like:
-Will you sing for us?
-Did you know I saw Rumi and Jinu kissing on youtube?
-Why won't you sing for us?
-Why did you kill Jinu? I like Jinu.
-if you're nervous I'll sing with you.

I think if you're a company that fires people for rejecting white supremacy, that should be known. That is your brand.

Everybody gamely says “Vance hosted Kirk’s podcast” instead of “the regime officially turned the major channel into state-controlled media just as it began its violent crackdown on any opposition or dissident messages.”

What amuses me about the people who describe what he did as debating is they would block someone who attempted to engage them in that manner online. Kirk was a troll, just with a microphone & sugar daddies, & if his defenders were honest, they'd admit his smug antagonizing wasn't debate.
Charlie Kirk wasn’t “debating”.

He was propagandizing and setting up gangs while claiming they were just “clubs”.

You don’t “debate” someone that doesn’t have a microphone, shared stage space and regulation around the event.

“It’s JuSt AbOuT PoRn”
Michigan lawmakers have introduced a bill prohibiting the any "depiction or description" of trans people or trans existence online, including it in a bill banning "pornographic" material

The bill would completely erase trans people online, equating them with porn.
Total porn ban proposed by Michigan lawmakers
Some states have moved to require age verification to ensure only adults are watching porn, but no states have outright banned the viewing of pornographic material.

News orgs HAVE to stop calling these porn bans. Yes, #HB4938, does also criminalize porn — also terrible — it goes far beyond that.

LGBTQ+ sites, social media sites, community forums, Shakespeare, drag, a review of Mrs. Doubtfire, all punishable by jail $500K fine and twenty years in jail.

💯 We shouldn't have to use these measures to escape censorship and bad laws.

I use a VPN and advocate for others to do so but even if the government doesn't block them (they will try soon enough) many companies and websites do on their end. It's not the ultimate solution to the problems we face.
Why should I have to accept a version of America where we are so afraid of porn that we have effectively banned it thru these laws? Why should I have to lose my job and passion?

Stop telling me to use a VPN or crypto and start fucking contacting people. Thank you.

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.
Search LibGen, the Pirated-Books Database That Meta Used to Train AI
Millions of books and scientific papers are captured in the collection’s current iteration.

My agents sent an email to all their authors saying "if you wrote a book that came out before 2023, just assume it's been stolen. Fill out the form and if the lawyers find out you're owed money, they'll send it to you."
Overall, The Atlantic's search showed 0 results for my work. Searching LibGen itself showed over 100 individual results, including multiple versions of multiple works, some in more than one language.

So, yeah: Don't trust that Atlantic search, if you work in comics (or maybe, in general?).

TIL killing the vast majority of an indigenous population doesn't count as a real genocide as long as it was the collateral damage during your land grab.

😐😐😐
Manifest destiny was the United States expanding its territory from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.

Territorial expansion is not genocide. Forcibly taking over a nation-state, such that you could Native American lands nation-states, is not genocide.

This is why you cannot have a free society where rich people have a say in governance; they're always gonna find that Fascism is cheaper than taxes.
I’m the furthest from a Trump fan. But the reality is that he would have to shake very hard to equate to the shakedowns of the unrealized cap gains tax and warren’s tax that were proposed.
And what will YOU do, Mark Cuban, when he comes to shake you down, too?
