This kind of moral rot destroys a body politic. It’s exactly the ugliness I saw spread through India’s veins since 2000. Rank selfishness, corruption and impunity all authorized by adherence to an ideology of hatred against an “Other.” It won’t end without widespread and severe consequences.

By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

Minneapolis has FIFTY YEARS of inclusive laws protecting trans people, allowing them to self-identify, and ZERO cases of trans people attacking women in the bathroom. ZERO. Over FIFTY YEARS.
The narrative is that trans people will harm and harass people in the bathroom, but it almost always is actually like this case where the aggressor is the transphobe confronting the trans person. It's ridiculous. They want to kick "undesirables" out from public life entirely, if they could.
