Good riddance to Nico Harrison, the personification of everything that’s going on. Blew up something good because he didn’t understand it and it didn’t conform to his vision of toughness. One of the clearest pictures of Everyone Is 12 Now ever produced. Untold damage to my psyche. Enjoy podcasting.

This is why we need a new generation of leaders in Congress. After 40 days of holding firm, with public opinion and momentum on our side, establishment Democrats decided to cave to Trump.

you know the behavioral crisis response programs are super effective because of how hard police unions are fighting to kill them. they know it’s going to cut into their funding because their response numbers go down even though they know they’re not equipped for these calls and never will be

Thank you Will Bunch
The Founders knew Congress - especially the House - was the backbone of U.S. democracy. It should be a huge story that Mike Johnson, serving Trump, has all but shut it down

So I'm grumpy that we seem to be once again creating a dynamic in our party where the people who got to the right answer sooner are marginalized for doing so, while people who were wrong get credit for changing their minds once it became obvious they were wrong. (See also NAFTA, Iraq War, Gaza.)

Common theme of people I've interviewed recently. At universities, in research centers, in diplomacy, in the legal system, dealing with refugees or immigrants:

The reality inside is much worse than you would think from the outside.

Democrats have no choice but to match this intensity.

1. Advocate passionately for liberal democracy
2. Publicly promise that lawless fascists will be held accountable once they're out of power.

If you don't, the fascists will proceed until they win. I know this inconvenient for everyone.

Trust me, I don’t like the status quo of the US psychiatric industry any more than you do, but abetting RFK Jr’s eugenicist defunding of community mental health is not going to make anything better. “Listening to patients” must include listening to poor, non-white patients too.

The succession from Mike Krzyzewski to Jon Scheyer has been an evolution, not a revolution.

What happened in Newark on Saturday was carefully planned, considered and, eventually, executed — all with the intention of being in San Antonio in April.

How Duke basketball reaching NCAA Final Four validates head coach Jon Scheyer’s plan
The Blue Devils’ trip to San Antonio, after Saturday’s 85-65 win over Alabama, was the product of years of planning to build around Cooper Flagg, and hard-learned lessons.

The Duke Blue Devils are going to the Final Four in Jon Scheyer's third season. This was his 89th win, tying him for the most victories in the first three years of a career in men's D-I history.

Blue Devils didn't even fully click and still rolled. The nation's most talented team, easily.
