The college hoops tour of the 312 continues at Loyola, where the Ramblers are hosting George Mason without their injured starting backcourt. The ACC is represented tonight by referee Bill Covington Jr. and George Mason AD Marvin Lewis, who was on GT’s 2004 Final Four team.

Retiring Segei Fedorov’s jersey with the Hurricanes in town is exactly the kind of thing Mike Ilitch would have done to stick it to Peter Karmanos.

They had offers for KK this summer but didn't want to give up a center without adding one. The apparent new willingness to move him suggests they've seen enough of Stankoven down the middle (plus the addition of Philp).
The whole KK thing was a bold effort worth trying. Change of scenery may help.

RE: KK. They tried to move him this summer and yet. Maybe now that we're approaching the deadline something will give. Either way, he's been giving opportunities. It hasn't worked. The end.
I’ve been a longtime defender of Kotkaniemi, but you can tell something needs to happen here. While many see his contract as an anchor, it’s perfectly in line with 3C pay as the cap surges — he’ll just need to play to that level, which I don’t doubt he can do. (👇 other site)

You could not get a ticket to this game when I was a kid, Big John vs Joey Meyer at the Rosemont Horizon. New building is a little bit nicer.
