Incredible to me that the Evergreen Point and Yarrow Point flyer stops on 520 exist as some of nicest bus rapid transit infrastructure in the region but don't count at all in Washington's transit oriented development bill.

If you're a Disney+ subscriber and care about the first amendment of the US Constitution, you can send a clear message to Disney/ABC by submitting your cancellation today.

You'll still be able to use the service until your subscription period ends, and can revert your cancellation if they change.

I haven't been using Windows much over the past 20 years, having been on Mac and Chrome for most of that time...so, tell me, is this something that Windows users normally just tolerate? (I'm used to getting 7 days notice on my Chromebook rather than just 5 minutes.)

"This building uses both horizontal and vertical modulation
to add interest and reduce its visual bulk." Does it? Really? This feels jarring, and seems to exaggerate the scale rather than presenting as an aggregation of smaller buildings.

Cities across WA are re-working their design review processes to align with HB 1293 by the end of June. tl;dr: design rules must be able to be objectively evaluated.

This article describes Seattle's progress toward this, but I'm interested in exploring useful approaches to meet the requirement.

I watched this documentary about Jimmy Carter on my flight home last night...and then today was saddened to learn that he died just a few hours after I watched it. (Unfortunately the only place I've found showing this currently is on Delta flights.)

It's the same story everywhere. We built in a way that forces everyone to drive, we don't like the results that decision gets us, so we fight to keep the cause of our problems.
A group of residents in NE Seattle are arguing that the existing business district at NE 55th and 40th Ave shouldn't become a neighborhood center where more housing is allowed because "adding more cars to our streets will only make walking and biking more dangerous."

Entiat, WA (USA) has an amazing waterfront development opportunity. Their Waterfront Master Plan has sat on the shelf since 2009. It's an amazing vision...but has lacked any tangible progress, likely because there's no path for incremental development of the plan: cms2.revize.com/revize/entia...
