This ain’t The Apprentice—Trump can’t just fire Dems from federal labor boards like it’s reality TV. This is a huge win for democracy and workers’ rights.

Night is not the end of the day, but an invitation to go into ourselves. Sometimes we seek the silence of darkness to organize our thoughts and let go of the day. In the night, we find the opportunity to free ourselves from the burdens of life and draw new strength.

The people protesting this weekend were the people who cared about more than just the price of eggs.

The people who were ostensibly motivated by “economic anxiety” have been utterly silent about economic implosion.

Is it possible that economics was NEVER the reason they voted for that asshole? 🫢

Republican donors love money more than racism and fascism. They hate losing money more than anything. Donald Trump is now affecting their bottom line. It ain't going to be pretty.

It’s a recalibration of economic control.

Oligarchs don’t live paycheck to paycheck. They have the capital to buy market dips and recoup faster, acquiring more assets at fire sale prices along the way.

When the dust finally settles, they will own more.

The rest of us will own less. A lot less.

The last time global markets tanked this hard, we were in the midst of a global pandemic.

Every single entry level Economics class teaches the same lessons.

1) Tariffs usually result in a trade war.
2) Nobody ever wins a trade war.

Most second graders comprehend this. Making Trump's Senior year first grade.

some reporters have been too loose with phrasing like DEI. makes it sound like it's all abt post-George Floyd murder stuff. As he notes, they're ditching anti-discrimination policies that go back to LBJ.

Democrats who want to be relevant and have a future with the party, look at AOC, Jamie Raskin, Jasmine Crockett, Senators Van Hollen and even Murphy right now.

They're the ones calling it out, refusing to bend the knee, and reflecting the righteous anger of America against the broligarchy.

A radicalized Trump voter was the one who tried to assassinate him. Radicalized Trump voters attacked the Capitol. A radicalized Trump voter blew up his Cybertruck in front of a Trump hotel. The GOP is playing with fire. They created this monster and they think they can tame it.

Good luck.
