Go at your own pace, and don't compare yourself to others' speed. 7 years of study and I'm MIGHT pass the N3 this weekend. And it is okay that it has taken me longer than my peers. At least I'm doing it.

Today is the day i officially turn 25 ! 🥳 my biggest wish right now is to make it as a Japn to eng media translator!! Of course i have to work for it but i hope i can accomplish it in the end !!

I dont know if i should give proz a chance for starting out freelance translation. I feel like it used to be good back then but there’s rarely any offers in my specialty (media). Does anyone have good experiences with ProZ? #freelancetranslation

Suddenly had the flu for about a week , couldn’t even focus on tasks ( got it from my sister but since she had the flu shot she didn’t even had any symptoms). That’s a reminder for me to get annual flu shots 😓

I was going to post this article this weekend but Duolingo's recent doubling down on replacing humans with generative AI pushed me to get it out sooner.

As someone who passed both N2 and N1 on their first try, I can attest to how good some of these are! This is a really good list!
I've extensively used Renshuu, Anki, Kanji Study, and Tae Kim's, and I still use jisho.org (+aedict on mobile).

I have finally graduated university with a BA in Japanese and minor degree in translation program and i’m feeling a bit lost 😞. My next step is to apply for JET 2026 but the applications don’t start till November. For the meantime i will self-practice translation and continue my Japanese studying
