To me, we're picking between two problems: Individual pressure to validate invoking a right of access vs collective impact of masking access when trying to understand and navigate biased systems. Ultimately I am more concerned with the latter because the former can be addressed via cultural shifts.

I see a lot of folks who don't live here trying to excuse the people responsible for what happened.
They didn't do what they could. If they had done what they could, they would have corrected all of the vulnerabilities brought up in 2018 and over a thousand people wouldn't be "missing".
