So @danfuster.bsky.social and colleagues seem to find HCTZ doesn’t work for anything!

In a post hoc analysis of NOSTONE (where CT scans were done in all & repurposed for calculating bone density) HCTZ doesn’t increase it vs placebo

It turns out, that under the right conditions, carbonyl groups form on MPO. Hydralazine actually ATTACHES to these carbonyl groups, probably modifying the MPO conformation and inducing a neo-antigen, which eventually causes the formation of anti-MPO IgM!

Most SEs from steroids are longer term and cumulative, aside from infection. I don’t know of many folks that would rx a CNI first.
